In this course you will learn the fundamentals of working with Gateway and building extensions for WordPress. We recommend registering for an account first so that you can track progress and receive credit when you finish quizzes. The course is divided into sections with a single quiz at the end of each section.
Users that pass this course with a final score of 80% or higher will be eligible for a Gateway Certified Developer title. Note that there are additional requirements (but no costs) to attaining this certification. In addition to passing this course interested developers and agencies must provide proof of a minimum of 3 real world projects that are still live on the interwebs. This manual step helps us ensure the integrity of the certification program. You can email us your list of 3 Gateway projects anytime along with your username where you attained the required course passing score.
If you ever feel caught in a catch-22 where you want the certification, but you don’t have 3 projects, and without the certification you can’t find 3 projects that would benefit from Gateway integration… remember that every WordPress project can benefit from Gateway integration. Just as ACF or Metabox is widely used on “nearly every project” anytime you need fields, data storage, make Gateway the toolkit you reach for. You will have more than 3 live projects quickly and by using Gateway effectively clients will appreciate the slick features you’re able to build for them at surprisingly low cost.
